Zhili‘s cement industry solutions cover the full production chain — from raw material preparation through pyroprocessing to finish grinding. With over 30 years of metallurgical expertise, we provide heat-resistant alloys for kiln systems
Cement production is a highly energy-intensive process involving raw material crushing, pyroprocessing (preheating, calcining, sintering in rotary kilns), and finish grinding. Every stage exposes equipment to extreme conditions: abrasive raw meal, molten clinker at 1,400°C, and high-pressure grinding loads. The combination of high temperature, thermal shock, and abrasive wear makes cement one of the most demanding industries for wear parts.
Zhili's cement industry solutions cover the full production chain — from raw material preparation through pyroprocessing to finish grinding. With over 30 years of metallurgical expertise, we provide heat-resistant alloys for kiln systems, high-wear materials for crushing and grinding, and precision components that maximize kiln uptime and minimize maintenance costs.
High-temperature resistant alloy hammers designed for cement clinker crushing. Engineered to withstand 300-400°C operating temperatures with superior thermal shock resistance.
Vertical roller mill grinding tables and mill liners with heat-resistant alloy surfaces for cement meal grinding. Optimized for high-pressure roller loads and abrasive wear.
VRM grinding rollers with high-chromium overlay or ceramic composite surfaces. Designed for cement and slag grinding with 20,000+ hour service life in typical operations.
Preheater hanging flaps, distributing plates, and dip tubes operating at 900-1,100°C. Made from premium heat-resistant alloy steels (ZG40Cr25Ni20, ZG35Cr26Ni12).
Kiln tires, riding rings, kiln chain systems, and kiln guard plates for cement rotary kilns. Precision machined for perfect fit and alignment.
Cooling grate plates and cross bar cooler components for cement clinker cooling. Heat-resistant alloy construction with optimized cooling geometry.
For preheater components, rotary kiln internals, and grate cooler parts, Zhili uses ZG40Cr25Ni20 and ZG35Cr26Ni12 heat-resistant alloys. These materials maintain mechanical integrity at continuous temperatures up to 1,100°C through a stable austenitic matrix strengthened by M₂₃C₆ carbide precipitates.
For clinker crusher hammers and grinding table surfaces, a Cr-Mo-V alloy system is optimized for the unique combination of 300-400°C material temperatures and high impact/abrasive wear. Zhili's proprietary HT-HC alloy maintains HRC 48-55 at 400°C with excellent thermal fatigue resistance.
For grinding rollers and table segments, Zhili applies multi-layer chromium carbide (CrC) hardfacing using submerged arc welding (SAW) or gas-shielded flux-cored arc welding (FCAW). Up to 6 layers ensure deep substrate penetration and a dense, crack-free overlay with 60+ HRC surface hardness.
Ball mill diaphragms and separator components require a balance of wear resistance and air flow optimization. Zhili manufactures diaphragms with segmented, prefabricated wear plates that can be replaced individually, reducing maintenance time by 70% compared to one-piece designs.
Hanging flaps, distributor plates, and dip tubes operate at 850-1,100°C in the cyclone preheater tower. Cyclone blockage from material adhesion and gas erosion are primary failure modes.
Kiln chains and lifting bars promote heat transfer between material and gas. Operating in a highly abrasive, high-temperature environment with cyclic thermal stresses causes chain elongation and link wear.
Grate cooler plates cool clinker from 1,400°C to below 100°C through forced air. Thermal shock, high-temperature oxidation, and abrasive particle impingement cause rapid wear on the plate surfaces.
Hammer crushers break hot clinker (100-400°C) discharged from the cooler. Clinker hammers face simultaneous high-temperature oxidation, thermal cycling, impact, and abrasive wear — the most demanding crushing application in cement.
VRM grinding cement clinker and slag at high pressure. The grinding table and rollers experience high-pressure point loading, particle abrasion, and temperatures up to 150-200°C at the roller-material interface.
Abrasive raw meal (SiO₂, Al₂O₃, Fe₂O₃) grinding with high silica content. Roller press studs and ball mill liners face severe three-body abrasion requiring maximum wear-resistant surfaces.
